State: (Al Young) Senator Gordon Smith has raised eyebrows and the hackles of some, by publicly standing in opposition to President Bush’s Iraq War policy. A survey of Oregon voters that my firm conducted showed that Senator Smith had bi-partisan approval ratings of 54% with unfavorable ratings of just 25%. Will the Democrats find a credible challenger for the seat and will the Senator face opposition in the Republican primary?
